Look of the day - gold sparkle

Hey guys!

So for those of you who have seen my other blog you will know that I am on skin medication, and it is drying my skin out like crazy - so much so that for about a week I have been unable to wear foundation or concealer, just because my skin is so dry.

So today I was rather fed up with looking so awful - so I decided to pick myself up, dust myself off and make my eyes look all jazzy for a day round the shops. I decided to go with an eye look that you might wear on an evening. Simple yet effective. A gold sparkle shadow with a thick flicked eye liner...and even Lashes! That's right, you did read that correctly! Lashes!!

So here we are...

I really like this look - I have used Chanel Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadow in '98' 'Vision' - this is the pot of wonderfulness I was talking about in my Jan and Feb Faves. I have used Rimmel Glam eyes Professional liquid liner in 'Black Glamour' and false lashes by Eyelure in style 030 from the Naturalites range.

Hope you like the look and take some inspiration from it. I love the subtle sparkle and the drama of the eyeliner - its such a classic look!

Look of the Day - Sunset eyes

Hey guys!

Since its practically like spring outside in the UK today I wanted my makeup to reflect that. So I went for a bright orange sunset eye. I have a gold base and I have faded the gold to yellow and then the yellow to a bright orange.

I have also accented the upper lash line in a deep plum as I didnt want the harshness of black and purple tones lend themselves well to orange.

Look of the Day

Hi guys, so as promised here is my look of the day, Ive been keeping it fairly simple the last couple of days and today was no different.

You may have noticed a trend with my makeup - i love bronze shades, and my absolute favorite eyeshadow has to be MAC Antiqued - which is a beautiful deep brown with bronze tones.

So today I decided to go with a faint cut crease using Antiqued and add more depth to the lash line, and I tight lined the eye with black kohl too.

So here we are...

Look of the Day - Taylor Swift Peoples Choice Awards

So if you follow me on twitter you will have seen that over the past few days I have been wanting to try out the copper smokey eye look that Taylor Swift was wearing to the peoples choice awards.

And so I have, I will keep this to a Look of the Day but if enough of you would like to see how I achieved it then I will post a 'How to' of this look.

I have intensified the copper tone as my colouring is slightly darker than Ms.Swifts and I have green not blue eyes...plus I like it a bit more dramatic. I would usually wear false eyelashes with this sort of look, but I am on my way to work so dont want to make too much effort ;) haha

Look of the Day

This is actually my look of the day for yesterday, I decided to go for a tangerine tinted eye as the orange colour tones go well with pale skin.
The eye makeup here is very subtle as I didnt want to go all out orange, but show you how you can incorporate bright colours in a subtle way into your makeup.

So here we are...

I used MAC's 'Orange' pressed eyeshadow for this, the trick is to apply very lightly and build up colour gradually in the areas that you want it, as applying heavy handed could make you look like youve had a fight with a Crayola box.
It may also be necessary to lightly line the upper lash line as I have with a black or deep brown eyeshadow.

Look of the Day

Hi everyone!

So my look today is a subtle bronze/brown slight 'cut crease' eye, I used more pink gold undertones to keep it warm, i also brought the dark bronze shade in towards the upper corner of my eye on the inner brow bone to help give it subtle structure. I am also wearing (although you cant necessarily see) the new Avon BB cream instead of foundation - but since this is my first day wearing it I wont judge it quite yet!
